GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. BOOKING FORMALIZATION AND PAYMENTS

To guarantee the exclusivity and booking of the vessel for the requested date, the booking process is structured in two steps:

  • Booking Deposit: To confirm the reservation, the client must pay a deposit (equivalent to the SeaTime booking management fee). This payment can be made via Bank Transfer or Bizum. Once received, the date will be officially blocked on the calendar.

  • Payment of the Remaining Balance: The remaining rental amount, along with the skipper’s fees and mandatory extras (such as final cleaning), will be paid directly to the owner or the boat’s management company on the day of boarding.

  • Accepted Payment Methods at the Port: Cash or Credit/Debit Card (subject to availability depending on the specific vessel).

Note: All final prices presented to the client include the applicable VAT.

2. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

At SeaTime, we apply a fair policy to protect both the client’s plans and the availability of our fleet:

A. Day Charters (1-day or half-day rentals)

  • More than 15 days notice: Full refund of the deposit (minus a €50 management fee).

  • Between 7 and 15 days notice: A SeaTime Voucher will be issued for the value of the deposit, valid for 12-18 months.

  • Less than 7 days notice: The deposit is non-refundable.

B. Multi-day & Weekly Charters (+1 day)

  • More than 60 days notice: Full refund of the deposit (minus a €150 management fee).

  • Between 30 and 60 days notice: A SeaTime Voucher will be issued (subject to the owner’s specific terms).

  • Less than 30 days notice: The deposit is non-refundable.

Resell Clause: If a client cancels outside the refund period but SeaTime manages to rebook the vessel for the same date and conditions, SeaTime will refund 90% of the deposit to the original client.

C. Cancellation due to Weather or Technical Issues

If the skipper or port authorities determine that weather conditions prevent safe navigation, or if there is an unfixable technical issue:

  1. An alternative date will be sought by mutual agreement.

  2. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund (100%) of all amounts paid will be issued.

3. EXTRAS, CLEANING, AND SKIPPER

  • Final Cleaning: This is a mandatory cost for all vessels to ensure hygiene standards. The price varies by boat length and is indicated in the initial quote.

  • Skipper: Unless stated as a “bareboat rental,” the service includes a professional captain. Their fees are paid on the day of boarding.

  • Optional Extras: Services such as catering, water toys (Seabob, Paddle Surf), or moorings in ports other than the departure port must be requested in advance and involve an additional cost.

4. FUEL

Unless the quote specifically states “Fuel included,” this cost is the client’s responsibility:

  • The vessel is delivered ready for navigation. At the end of the charter, the consumption will be calculated based on the route taken.

  • Fuel payment is made at the end of the day, either directly at the port’s gas station or according to the vessel’s measurement system.

5. SECURITY DEPOSIT (BOND)

Some vessels (especially for multi-day rentals) require a security deposit, which will be managed directly by the owner or manager at the time of boarding. This deposit covers potential damage due to negligent use. SeaTime Mallorca does not hold or manage these deposits; their return is the direct responsibility of the owner after check-out.

6. PUNCTUALITY AND ONBOARD RULES

  • Meeting Point: Exact location and skipper contact details will be provided after the booking is formalized.

  • Delays: The rental duration will not be extended due to delays caused by the client. Late return of the vessel by the client may incur penalties (€50 for every 30 minutes of delay).

  • Capacity: The maximum number of passengers permitted by the vessel’s license must not be exceeded under any circumstances.
